“Onegai Blog is mainly about things that most people refer to as “geeky” or “nerdy” like technology, anime, manga, retro-games and the like. There are also a few occasional “Misc” pages thrown in which contain articles that I hope will either amuse or inspire you (Even if it is to argue with me. I never mind a POLITE debate and always seek out new opinions). Hopefully you’ll take something away from visiting and maybe you’ll even come back.” – The Original descriptor of Onegai Blog.
It’s 2012 now so around two years passed since that was written and a lot has changed. The blog took on a more professional tone for a while. Discussion topics were opened too. Then the blog nearly saw its destruction and was inactive for over a year due to personal matters. But a few months back Onegai Blog returned and although I’m posting less than usual these days, I will continue to make updates when I can.
Since it’s inception this site has evolved from a narrow-focus on otaku-media to general otaku-related topics to finally stepping outside its boundaries completely by focusing on “worldly” matters too. Through that process, this blog has gone from ammeter-look to proffesional-look to casual-look and I think that in the more casual look Onegai Blog has finally found it’s identity. All that’s left is to simply settle into it.
Anyway, this blog is no longer an insular media-review blog but now more of an otaku-themed self-interest blog with a broad-spectrum focus on anything from the small nuisances of living within a specific situation to general geek culture, political issues.
These article’s are written from the perspective of a confused-teenager-and-even-more-confused-adult living as an undercover geek in the hostile world of reality so don’t expect to agree with all my opinions (if any). Debate is welcomed (but keep it polite. Swearing is allowed but not at other users. No flame wars).
So what is Onegai Blog really? Hell if I know. I suppose it’s that little outlet for me (and hopefully others). It’s a guide to the more obscure media, a warning about the trash out there, a commentary on the idiocies of mankind and an occasional rant post.
